1970s Fads and Fashions
There were many fashion styles in the 1970s. In the 70s they had a relaxed attitude of clothing. Some outrageous new looks were knew as punk and glam. "Working out" was more of a fashion statement. Also denim became downright fashionable with polyster leisure suits. The 70s were a time of individual expression, of clashes and emerging identities. Most clothes were comfortable day to day wear. Some people would wear athelic-shoes and a warm-up suit as an outfit to wear out. T-shirts were known as pentiful. Most people were wearing the tallest shoes and the skimpiest clothes.

Fads in the 1970s were a big thing.Fads meant. In the 1970s the Little people orginals were invent and were soon renamed the cabbage patch dolls. The ubiquitous smiley face became the hallmark of the decade. Clackers are 2 pool ball-sized marbles that we held to together with a string that has a ring on it was a popular toy of the time. The 1970s was also known as the "Me Decade". Nothing else could represent the 1970s like the mood rings. Streaking was someone darting through a public place while naked. Most streaking occured on college campuses.
